Violet Eagan, Executive Director --
Violet Eagan is the one of the founders and
Exective Director of Brooklyn Ice.  She has
been skating as long as she can remember. As
a competitive figure skater, she trained in Lake
Placid with Olympic Coach Gustave Lussi and
now is a Master Figure Skating Coach.
Teaching for more than 35 years , she also
holds a  BA from Syracuse University and is
certified in teaching Pilates and
GYROTONIC®.  She previously was the
skating director of Flushing Meadows and Kate
Wollman Rink and on the staff of Chelsea
Piers, Figure Skating in Harlem and Ice
House.  She is currently on the staff of
Kinected Studio in Chelsea and teaching
privately at Chelsea Piers .  She created
Brooklyn Ice to bring the satisfaction of
achievement  of both sports and academics to
students who would otherwise not have this
opportunity.

Melissa Browning -- Melissa has been
involved with Brooklyn Ice since 2006 where
she works as a skating instructor and serves
on the Board of Directors.   She grew up
skating in Prospect Park and is excited to
share her passion for the sport with her
Brooklyn Ice family. She received her
Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Bard
College and her Master's in Childhood
Education from Hunter College.   Melissa
worked for Figure Skating in Harlem in years
past, and also taught group and private
skating lessons at the McCann Ice Arena in
Poughkeepsie, NY during here college years.
Melissa can generally be found in the
classroom, teaching third grade at P.S. 8 in
Brooklyn Heights.

Elizabeth C. Beller -- Elizabeth learned to ice
skate at the Kate Wollman Rink in Prospect
Park, Brooklyn, and began teaching group and
private skating lessons at the same rink while
in high school. Elizabeth received a BA in
Urban and East Asian Studies and an MA
Degree in East Asian Studies from the
University of Pennsylvania. Fluent in
Japanese, Elizabeth has experience
developing and implementing educational
programs. She has also coordinated and
overseen the production of events and fairs for
the public and facilitated fundraising events.
Elizabeth has been an instructor with Brooklyn
Ice since 2006 and joined the Board of
Directors in 2007.

Jennifer Bleier -- Born and raised in
Kalamazoo, MI, Jen knows cold and, for some
reason, continues to work in it!  As an
undergraduate at the University of Michigan,
Jen designed her own major with a focus on
child psychology, sociology and childhood
development. Jen has worked with not-for-
profits, schools and international organizations
both in the United States and abroad,
specifically in the fields of theater and dance.
Jen is a certified Pilates instructor and has
been teaching at Kate Wollman Rink in
Prospect Park Brooklyn since 2002. When not
skating Jen loves to travel (or dream about
traveling), dance, cook, and take part in as
many cultural events as she possibly can.

Kelsy Eagan -- Kelsy was born and raised in
Park Slope, Brooklyn and has been ice-skating
since she was two years old! Kelsy skated at
Prospect Park’s Wollman Rink as a child and
later she taught at the same rink during high
school and college. Kelsy graduated form New
York University in 2005 with a BA in Sociology.
She is currently enrolled in Hunter College
where she is working towards her Masters in
Early Childhood Education.

Jamie Coffey Reynolds --has enjoyed a
competitive and professional career in figure
skating for over 20 years. A three-time
National Competitor and featured performer
with Disney On Ice, she has taught skating,
dance, and theater to youth and adults across
the country. Jamie is currently a company
member of the Ice Theatre of New York and is
also an actor, dancer, and yoga practitioner in
NYC. In 2007, she graduated from New York
University Tisch School of the Arts with her MA
in Performance Studies and plans to pursue
her Ph.D. next year.

Norah Rexer-- started working with Brooklyn
Ice in 2008 as a skating instructor.  She grew
up in Brooklyn, skating and working as an
instructor in Prospect Park.  She received a
Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Yale
University, where she continued to skate and
teach, and she is now a Master's student at
New York University.
